Q: It reads "dealer code error" when I register Launch X431 iDiag, how to fix?

A: “Dealer code error” shows you register CC number on the computer, the Dealer Code is 86A (A should be capital letter).

But, when you register CC No on iPad or iPhone, it will not ask for Dealer code, after you register CC No, you can go on Log in Launch website to pay and download the software, while you cannot go on log in Launch website on computer after register CC number.


Q: X431 iDiag language

A: X431 iDiag language depends on your IP address that you use to register and pay the software.


Q: What version Launch X431 iDiag is available?

A: The X431 iDiag we supply are available with the following version: iDiag work with iPad and iPhone, with IOS, with Android phone, with Mini Pad, with Samsung N8010/N8000


Q: Fail to register X431 iDiag Auto Scanner CC code

A: Please follow the instruction on

Launch X431 GDS is a hi-tech product. With the development of modern automotive industry, more and more new technologies will be adopted and there may be questions during operation, including the software, hardware, operation and something related to the vehicles. Read the user’s manual to get the answer whenever you have any question, or contact our Customer Service Center for help. Here, we list some frequently asked questions and answers relating to the using of X431 GDS. 

About Hardware 

Q: Why does the X431 GDS LCD touch screen respond so slowly in cold whether?

A: It is because the ambient temperature is close to the lower limit of operating temperature range (-10-55℃). Under this situation, it is necessary to warm up the machine for 30 minutes before test. 

Q: There is only backlight and no character on the screen. What should I do?

A: Check if the power is well connected. Turn off the machine, unplug the power connector and re-plug it. Turn on the machine after it has been connected to the power for 1 second. 

Q: Why there is no response or response incorrectly while clicking the x431 gds screen with touch pen?

A: Please calibrate the screen again. Refer to “2.3.3 7. Screen Calibration” for details. 

About Operations 

Q: System halts while reading data stream.

A: Connector is loosen, shutdown the device and connect well to test again. 

Q: E-mail sending failed.

A: Check network configuration.

Q: Fail in Mail operation while feedback problems.

A: Product is not registered, please register and operate again. 

Q: Software download failed.

A: Check network configuration. 

Q: Blank screen after operating for a period.

A: When there is no external power supply connected, power of battery exhausts, Please connect external power supply. 

About Vehicles 

Q: Launch X431 GDS main screen blinks at the moment when engine ignition.

A: It results from electromagnetic interference and this is normal phenomena. 

Q: Detecting interrupted while testing.

A: It results from electromagnetic interference or loose connection. 

Q: No response while communicating with vehicle ECU.

A: Make sure that the voltage of vehicle battery is in specified range, the throttle is in the closed position, and all electrical consumers are turned off, and water temperature is in specified range. 

Q: Some systems can not be diagnosed

A: The diagnostic socket for the system on some early vehicle may be separated. Refer to the vehicle instruction manual. 

Q: No corresponding trouble codes description.

A: It is generally normal circuit “sequel”, search the most approaching trouble code and analyze it.

Launch X431 software update instruction

With the hot selling of Launch X431 products, the updated problem is more and more attention by the customers.  So i arrange the universal launch x431 update steps as the following:

1.Download software

1)  Log in www.dbscar.com

2)  Click “Log in” at the upper right corner, input Login name and password.
3)  Click the button “Log in”, one dialog box popup named “Security Alert”, select “Yes”.
 
4)  Enter Download Center.

5)  One-by-one to download DBSCAR_SERIES-UPDATE, firmware upgrade package, X431 IV DISPLAY and car models software.

6)  Please create new folder on the desktop and name as “X431”.
7)  The software saves as the “X431” folder, click “save”.
8)  After download, the following listed file is what you download.

2.Setup DBSCAR_SERIES-UPDATE

1)  Double click “DBSCAR_SERIES-UPDATE”and install it.
2) Choose English, click OK and follow the instruction to setup the software. After finish installation, click Start-All Programs- Launch_Dbs- Dbscar Serial Update Tool.
 
3)  Open “Dbscar Serial Update Tool”.
4)  Please tick before the software you want to update, and click “ Update” .

5)  The picture display update successfully.

6)  Take out CF card or TF card; insert into the X431 main unit, then X431 can work.

Note: after update, maybe the main unit will ask you to adjust the touch screen, it is normal, after correctly adjust the touch screen, Launch X431 will work.
